14 Days to publishing Love & Magick!!!!-

by Diana McCollum

In writing "Ghost of a Chance" I searched the inter-net for information on haunted places in Bend, OR.  Below is a link to the full article on ghosts in Bend.

  • Quoted from Examiner.com:

  • "Congress House: Reports of families who have lived there and died there due to living in a cursed house.
  • The Pilot Butte Cemetery: Reports of blue orbs have been seen.
  • The Lara House Lodge
  • The Deschutes County Historical Society building
  • The O’Kane Building: Their have been reports of ghostly smoke, footsteps and voices from a long dead waitress who may have once worked in the restaurant. Some say that the basement of the building is haunted by an old man."
I made sure more than one source listed the haunted sites I mentioned in my story.

Does your town have public places documented to have ghosts, cursed houses, or unexplained happenings?

  3. Sounds like fun, Diana! I'm working on a ghost story right now set in Portland. Did you know Portland is supposed to be the "most haunted city in the Pacific Northwest"? From the sound of this article, it sounds like Bend could give it a run for its money! Best of luck with the book release to you, Sarah, and Judith!

  7. Oh I'd forgotten that and I love going to the movies there. The couches, they serve you food and drink during the movies. Wouldn't it be a great Valentine date night?

  8. Just found this (and you) through the RWA Valley Rose group--I've set my YA book in a local haunted landmark, Preston Castle in Ione. :)
